Brineflow celebrates the re-opening of Great Yarmouth’s historic Ice Housee and toasts a new future as a public building that will contribute to the artistic future of the town we call home.

Brineflow and our predecessor company J & H Bunn Limited have owned the historic and iconic Ice House in Great Yarmouth for fifty years. Last year we transferred ownership to the Sea Change Arts organisation together with a fund to refurbish the thatched roof.

That work has been completed and Brineflow Chairman John Fuller OBE was able to celebrate the start of The Ice House’s redevelopment into a National Centre for Outdoor Arts and Circus thanks to an almost £2 million grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and National Lottery players.

John Fuller said “For fifty years our families have been custodians of this historic building. We saved the building from demolition and restored it in 1981. But it’s been closed to the public for that entire time. This event marks a new chapter for the Ice House. Instead of being closed it will now be open and make a significiant contribution to the cultural renaissance of our Town. We all wish SeaChange Arts the best of luck and all success with embedding it in the heart of our community.
